3 P's of our Profession - Preparing Disciples

PREPARING DISCIPLES TO BE THE BEST THEY CAN BE.

The 2nd P of our Profession is Preparing disciples to be the best they can be.

(Eph 4:7-16) “To each one of us grace has been given according to the measure of Christ's gift. (11) And it is Messiah who gifted some to be apostles, others to be prophets, others to be evangelists, and still others to be pastors and teachers, (12) for the purpose of perfecting the saints, and doing the work of ministry, and building up the body of Christ (13) until all of us are united in the faith and in the full knowledge of God's Son, and until we attain complete maturity and the full standard of development in Christ. (14) Then we will no longer be little children, tossed like waves and blown about by every wind of doctrine, by people's trickery, or by clever strategies that would lead us astray. (15) Instead, by speaking the truth in love, we will grow up completely into the one who is the head, that is, into Christ, (16) in whom the whole body is united and held together by every ligament with which it is supplied. As each individual part does its job, the body's growth is promoted so that it builds itself up in love.”

PRAYER

(1Ti 2:1-8) “First of all, then, I exhort that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, (2) for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. (3) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, (4) who will have all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (5) For God is one, and there is one Mediator of God and of men, the Man Christ Jesus, (6) who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. (7) To this I am ordained a preacher and an apostle (I speak the truth in Christ, I do not lie), a teacher of the nations, in faith and truth. (8) Therefore, I desire that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”

BIBLE STUDY

(2Ti 2:15-18) “ Study earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. (16) But shun profane, vain babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. (17) And their word will eat like a gangrene; among whom are Hymeneus and Philetus, (18) who have erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past, and who overthrow the faith of some. ( 2Ti 2:23-26) But avoid foolish and unlearned questions, knowing that they give birth to strife. (24) But the servant of the Lord must not strive, but to be gentle to all, apt to teach, patient, (25) in meekness instructing those who oppose, if perhaps God will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth, (26) and that they awake out of the snare of the Devil, having been taken captive by him, so as to do the will of that one.”
